Eurostar, the cross-channel train operator is now offering free travel to Ukrainians entering the UK from major cities such as Paris, Brussels, and Amsterdam.

Since the invasion began, over one million Ukrainian refugees have been displaced, fleeing their hometowns and entering nearby countries for safety – but travelling cross-country is usually neither easy nor cheap.

Eurostar states that all those with a valid UK Visa should speak to a member of Eurostar staff at any major station across Europe to receive their ticket, totally free of charge. This includes the likes of Paris Nord, Brussels-Midi, Lille Europe, and Amsterdam Central

Similar schemes across Europe are being adopted by other rail companies and airlines such as Wizz Air. To find out more, and learn about how you can help check out this article recently posted on the BBC
