McDonald’s turns dipping sauces into Halloween face paints
McDonald’s is giving fans a new reason to get sauce on their faces this Halloween, turning six of its dips into a face paint collection complete with fries-shaped brushes and a Chicken McNugget-inspired sponge.
Created with Leo UK, “Spooky Sauces” features shades including Tomb-Mato Ketchup, Curry Cauldron, Boo-Boo-Q and Garlic MayOoOo. Each kit also includes a mirror.

The campaign launched on TikTok and Instagram with a film revealing the collection against a velvet backdrop, using a spooky gloved hand and ASMR-style sound effects.
An Instagram competition followed, offering fans the chance to win one of 100 sets.
UK creators will use the palettes to produce looks inspired by the menu, restaurants and packaging until 31 October, with tutorials encouraging fans to try their own.
Leo UK creative director Ben Hooper said: “Whether it’s dipping fries or nuggs, we’ve all ended up with ketchup or sweet curry on our face. Usually by accident. So this Halloween, we’re making a look of it.”
McDonald’s marketing manager Ana Saffer added: “We all know and love our dips, but we’ve never seen them quite like this…”
Following its fan-led World Menu Heist, McDonald’s is again giving customers a role in the campaign, this time turning familiar packaging into Halloween props.
