Domino’s turns its cult dip into a garlic and herb ice cream

Domino’s has turned its cult Garlic & Herb dip into a limited-edition ice cream, hand-stirring the savoury sauce into dairy sourced from Devon for a sweet-and-savoury summer scoop.

The pizza chain served it on Brighton seafront this week, testing whether beachgoers would swap their usual cone for something considerably stranger, with a drizzle of the dip itself available on request.

Online, opinions were divided, with one fan admitting she “thought this might be an April Fools prank” another confirming “it actually tastes like garlic.”

A Domino’s spokesperson said: “Our dip has become a bit of an icon in its own right, with customers finding all sorts of creative ways to enjoy it over the years. This summer, we thought we’d go one scoop further and take it somewhere completely unexpected.”

It follows Domino’s garlic and herb Easter egg and the brand’s pepperoni-inspired fragrance, part of a growing pattern of turning its menu items into increasingly odd spin-off products.

With May and June both breaking UK temperature records and another heatwave forecast for late August, Domino’s is giving away tubs of the ice cream via a competition at dominosicecream.com.
