Olivia Colman channels London in Burberry’s latest campaign
Burberry’s newest campaign leans into character for “It’s Always Burberry Weather.”
The British heritage label tapped Oscar-winner Olivia Colman to play a chip shop worker, a cricket fan, a street busker and a tourist guide, each captured with dry wit and affection.
The short films follow wide-eyed tourists played by fashion regulars like Amelia Gray, Liu Wen, and Tyson Beckford as they navigate a stylised London in trench coats and curious wonder.
Directed by Shakespeare in Love’s John Madden and produced in-house, the films extend Burberry’s ongoing repositioning under chief creative officer Daniel Lee.
“Each film celebrates just a few of the many characters you’ll encounter in London,” said Lee, whose interpretation of Britishness often leans into the offbeat and eccentrically nostalgic.
It’s a carefully constructed love letter to both London and Burberry’s past, with cinematic storytelling done with a uniquely British bent.
