Virgin Trains respond to toilet user’s Twitter plea

By on Wednesday, January 7, 2015

A teenager travelling on a Virgin train to Glasgow last month used the powers of Twitter to ask for help when he realised there was no toilet paper in the train toilet he was using. And whilst most of us may have thought twice about tweeting about the mishap,  16 year old Adam Greenwood tweeted Virgin Trains, who quickly came to his rescue.

They proceeded to send a suited-up employee down to the cubicle, and after a polite knock on the door, handed over the much anticipated paper.

Talking about the incident after, Adam said “It just goes to show the true power of social media, hopefully a bit of inspiration for other companies (especially travel related ones) to get themselves on Twitter and start engaging with their customers.”
