Canadian bank rewards customers with Automated Thanking Machine

The TD Bank in Canada set up an ATM with a difference in some of their branches. At first, they were shocked by the charming human voice coming out of the machine. Then it dispensed surprisingly personal gifts that moved many of the users to tears. They collected the reactions in a touching viral video and the hashtag #TDThanksYou.

One woman is given tickets to see her only daughter, who is suffering from cancer. Another is given the chance to throw the first pitch for their favourite baseball side. Obviously this video is a shamefully exploitative tearjerker. It is reminiscent of when WestJet airline granted the wishes of passengers at Christmas. But these videos go viral for a reason and they tug at the emotions every time.
