Disney princesses used in incestuous rape awareness posters

A shocking series of posters featuring well-known Disney princess being kissed against their will by their fathers has been released by artist Saint Hoax.

The artist has created the posters in a bid to encourage under 18s to speak out against incestuous rape in a project he calls Princest Diaries. He states that “The aim of the poster series is to encourage victims to report their cases in order for the authorities to prevent it from happening again.”

The impact of the campaign cannot be denied, with figures normally designed to convey childhood joy, escapism and safety placed in situations alarming, dangerous and unnatural.

According to the Mail Online, Saint Hoax said that before going public with the campaign, he approached major organisations in the hope they might use them, but didn’t hear back, leading him to publish them on his own website. Following this, a number of other anti child sex abuse and incest foundations have shared the images. 

The posters have been picked up by a number of publications including BuzzFeed, Mail Online and Cosmopolitan
