KFC – Kentucky Fried Cornichon?

KFC France has turned its cult-favourite pickle into a nail art collection, part of a Pickle Club campaign running from 29 July with a pop-up beauty bar in Marseille and a new pickle-heavy menu range.

The pickle has become one of food culture’s most divisive obsessions, fuelling taste tests and viral pairings across social media.

KFC is leaning into that fandom with ‘Pickle Nails Club’, three sets of pickle-themed press-on nails handcrafted by French nail artists, turning the ingredient into a wearable statement piece for a generation that wears trends, not just consumes them.

It follows the brand’s pickle-filled puffer jacket drop in the UK, another case of KFC turning a menu ingredient into fashion.

Fans can book slots at KFC’s pop-up inside Marseille’s Maison Mère à Côté, choosing between the press-on nail sets or an on-site pickle-inspired manicure, alongside pickle mocktails and the new Pickle Club menu range: a Pickle Burger, Double Filet Pickle Burger and Pickle i-TWIST.

The stunt continues KFC’s habit of turning food into fashion, following its designer handbag for chicken wraps.

“Pickles are a polarizing ingredient that naturally sparks conversation, and that’s exactly what inspired us,” said Margaux Wanin, Head of Brand at KFC France.

“We wanted to turn them into a platform for self-expression that extends beyond the product itself by creating an experience that lives just as much in our restaurants, on the streets and across social media.”
