But while the towering ad certainly turned heads, not everyone was thrilled about its sudden appearance.
According to The Sun, New Yorkers expressed their dismay with Kim’s latest project – one commenting ‘To whomever at the city council who approved this: are you ok?’
Another fan roasted that the Kim doll ‘looks embarrassed to be there.’
A critic on the brand’s Instagram page slammed the structure, calling it an “unrealistic representation of a woman’s body.”

The larger-than-life installation showcases Kardashian in Skims Swim’s latest drop.
The massive figure rests atop a 4-foot platform wrapped in the brand’s signature logo.

Kim remains unbothered about the hoo-ha.
Sharing her excitement on Instagram Stories, she posted a snapshot of the installation, writing, “OMG….I cannot believe there is a 60 foot float of me in SKIMS Swim in the middle of Times Square.”
The balloon spectacle was executive produced by Amy Kule of Merry Wonderer.
Whether loved or loathed, the stunt has certainly created headlines.
