Vibrating underwear takes wearable tech to a whole new level

Wearable tech is all the rage right now, but sex toy designers OhMiBod have unveiled a design you might not want to show off to your colleagues.

Couple Brian and Suki Dunham came up with the design, which they showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this week . The blueMotion consists of a pair of pants with a vibrator discreetly embedded; they contain a Bluetooth chip which can be controlled by your or your partner’s smartphone via a specialised app. As the Huffington Post jokes,  “if your partner doesn’t have iOS or Android, it might be time to insist.”

The app is pretty savvy, allowing users to control the intensity and speed of vibrations, and even setting them to a recorded message or song. Currently partners need to be close to each other for it to work, but OhMiBod has its sights set on long-distance possibilities within the next year.OhMiBod blueMotion

As technology scales the top of the modern couple’s lists for igniting arguments, it seems we finally have a piece of tech that will result in quite the opposite.

They will go on sale in the US for $129 from March 2014.
