Aldi creates broomstick parking bay for Halloween
Aldi has opened a dedicated broomstick parking bay at its Water Lane store in York, giving witches and wizards somewhere to leave their transport while they do the Halloween shop.
The pop-up features a purpose-built rack, spooky signage and a broomstick floor vinyl. It will remain in place until 31 October.

York provides a fitting backdrop.
In research commissioned by Aldi, 28% of respondents named the historic city as the most haunted place in Britain, putting it top of the supermarket’s poll.

The survey of 2,000 Brits also found that 84% enjoy celebrating Halloween, while 66% plan to decorate their homes. With pumpkin picking, fright nights and costume parties spreading the occasion across October, Aldi is giving shoppers another reason to stop for a photo.

The campaign was delivered by Taylor Herring.
It follows Aldi’s recent jacket that becomes a bag and Barbie pink store makeover, continuing the retailer’s habit of making the weekly shop a little less routine.
