Cadbury 5Star embarks on a time travel mission to erase Valentine’s Day

In a move that challenges conventional Valentine’s Day celebrations, Cadbury 5Star, a leading chocolate brand in India, is launching a unique campaign aimed at those disenchanted with the day of love.

The brand, renowned for its cheeky marketing strategies, is introducing the world’s first ‘time travel vessel’ with a mission to erase Valentine’s Day for its detractors.

Partnering with celebrated space scientist Nambi Narayanan the brand is calling on volunteers to board a ‘time-travel ship’ to cross the International Date Line at the stroke of midnight on February 13th, 2024, effectively skipping Valentine’s Day.

The event, set to be live-streamed globally, will feature three volunteers who, armed with Cadbury 5Star chocolates, will ‘do nothing’ as they traverse into February 15th, symbolically removing Valentine’s Day from their calendars.

Conceptualised by Ogilvy, the brand has released a promo film announcing the mission and asking viewers to sign up as ‘Mission Engineers’ by visiting the mission’s website.
