Judith Chalmers returns for Woke You Were Here with Travel Republic

After a 16 year hiatus, TV travel legend Judith Chalmers has made a comeback to delve into the new phenomenon of the ‘woke’ and mindful holiday. Judith, who presented ITV’s Wish You Were Here for 30 years until 2003, returns for a one-off special, Woke You Were Here with Travel Republic.

It follows research which reveals how British travellers are now more likely to seek out hotels and resorts which offer mindfulness, sustainability and yoga over nightlife and all-you-can-drink bars. Meanwhile a third of ‘conscious’ Brits now believe that terms such as ‘beach body ready’ and sexily suggestive cocktails such as Sex on the Beach and Porn Star Martini are ‘unacceptable’, as is the traditional Brits abroad practice of nabbing a sun lounger at breakfast-time.
