Cuprinol reveal 2018’s “Shed of the Year” shortlist

This week sees the return of  Cuprinol’s quirky annual “Shed of the Year” competition.

A perfect PR page-filler for August’s silly season.

Now in it’s 11th year, out of the 3000 plus entries, 24 have now been shortlisted for a chance to take home the coveted 2018 accolade.

Andrew Wilcox, Shed of the Year founder, said that the judges were “blown away” by this year’s contestants. Some of the most exciting shed examples include a converted black cab, a shed resembling a Tudor playhouse or a shed built from an old boat.”

The public will be able to vote for their favourite sheds in each category online until 28th August. A panel of judges will choose winners once the voting closes. According to Wilcox “it is going to be a near-on impossible task deciding who will take top honour as the Cuprinol Shed of the Year 2018, I love all 24 sheds.”

The lucky winner will get a plaque, a huge crown and £100-worth of woodwork products from Cuprinol. Last year the title of ‘The Shed of the Year’ went to ‘The Mushroom Shed’ that Ben Swanborough built for his 12-year-old daughter.
