Biggest ever Golden Retriever get-together

101 Dalmatians are blown out the water by this mass gathering of golden retrievers! To celebrate 150 years since the much-loved canine was first bred, 361 golden retrievers have gathered at Guisachan House in Inverness-shire, Scotland. The first ever golden retriever was bred on this estate in the 19th century by Lord Tweedmouth.

The Golden Retriever Club of Scotland organised the event, and has been successful in creating what is thought to be the biggest gathering of the breed anywhere in the world. The chairman of the club, Doreen McGugan, said: ‘The 150th has been a roaring success. We’ve gone from 188 golden retrievers at the 2006 gathering, 222 in 2016, to 361 today.’

The event lasted 5 days and brought together dogs and owners from all over the country.
