Carlsberg turns flyposters into football goals
Carlsberg is encouraging fans to rediscover the joy of a kickabout with Goal Posters, a campaign that transforms everyday flyposters into playable football goals across UK cities.

Marking the return of the brand’s iconic ‘If Carlsberg Did…’ platform, the activation reimagines traditional outdoor advertising by turning walls into impromptu pitches.

The goal-shaped posters invite passers-by to stop, play and enjoy a spontaneous game wherever they find one.

The idea is rooted in new research from Carlsberg, which found that while 75% of adults are watching football this summer, a third have not had a kickabout in more than six months. By creating accessible places to play, the campaign aims to make the game feel a little closer to home.
The activation forms part of Carlsberg’s wider commitment to creating greater access to memorable experiences through its sponsorship of UEFA National Team Football and UEFA Euro 2028.
By turning a familiar advertising format into something interactive, Carlsberg demonstrates how a simple creative idea can transform public spaces into places for play.
Lynsey Woods, Carlsberg’s Global Brand Director, says: “Football can sometimes feel like something to admire from a distance. If Carlsberg did football ads, we’d bring it back within reach. That’s why we’ve focused on creating more opportunities for people to play the game themselves and rediscover the simple joy that made them fall in love with football in the first place: a kickabout with friends.”
The first sets of “Goal Posters” can be found at Sutton Walk and Shoreditch Tunnels (London) and Bridge Street (Manchester) with further activations planned.
