Lidl rolls into London Fashion Week with runway-ready trolley bag

By on Tuesday, February 17, 2026

Lidl is set to turn supermarket chic into front row currency with the launch of its new Trolley Bag, created with New York designer Nik Bentel, just in time for London Fashion Week.

Following the viral success of 2024’s croissant tote, the discount retailer is once again leaning into fashion’s appetite for irony – with agency The Romans.

The Lidl x Nik Bentel Trolley Bag riffs on the humble supermarket trolley, complete with wire frame detailing, a rounded Lidl branded handle, detachable chain strap and even a trolley coin fob.

The drop will be handled via ballot on Bentel’s website from 26 February, with fans invited to register in advance for a chance to secure one of the limited edition pieces.

The Trolley Bag will be available for free, adding an extra layer of hype to an already primed audience.

With the right creative partner, even the weekly shop can become a statement accessory.
