Just Eat rider becomes unlikely hero during UK heatwave meltdown

A Just Eat delivery rider has gone viral after hurling bottles of water up to passengers stuck on a sweltering Thameslink train, stranded above ground in 34-degree heat.
Captured in a now widely shared clip, the orange-bagged courier stands beneath the train bridge, launching water bottles with near-basketball precision to dehydrated commuters stuck with open doors and no air con.
Each successful throw triggered cheers from onboard. One miss prompted a collective groan, the bottle bouncing off concrete back to earth.

Social media crowned the rider a hero, with X (formerly Twitter) users posting lines like: “Not all heroes wear capes” and “I hope they tipped him well.”
With Thameslink facing fury over the chaos that impacted over 1,800 passengers, Just Eat somehow became the unlikely MVP of the day.
