Over the weekend, shoppers in Uxbridge (London) were met with an unusual sight: a car ‘crushed’ under a 2-metre, bowling ball.
A publicity move from Hollywood Bowl to announce the opening of its new entertainment centre at The Chimes Shopping Centre.
Launching just in time for summer, Hollywood Bowl Uxbridge offers a broad mix of activities aimed at families and groups looking for something new.
Inside, visitors will find 22 ten-pin bowling lanes, four duckpin lanes (a growing mini-bowling trend from the US) —plus a range of arcade games.
There’s also a classic American-style diner and bar.
Rachael Hayward, Regional Support Manager for Hollywood Bowl Uxbridge said: “We wanted to make a statement that Uxbridge wouldn’t forget – and what better way than a giant bowling ball dropped from the sky. The area is crying out for exciting new places to spend quality time together, especially for families and friends looking for something fun and fresh. Hollywood Bowl is here to deliver exactly that.”
