Hyundai launch a spa in a car

By on Monday, June 8, 2026

Hyundai is turning its flagship electric SUV into a pop-up spa for one day only, arriving in London on Thursday 11 June.

Dubbed ‘Spa in a Car’, the activation invites stressed Londoners inside the IONIQ 9 for a free 20-minute treatment from a dedicated Korean beauty therapist, from a head, neck and shoulder massage to a Korean facial designed to ease tension.

The activation by Taylor Herring leans into a quietly relatable truth:

Hyundai’s research found that 55% of Brits say it is one of the only places they can truly switch off, while 82% admit to staying parked just for a few extra moments of peace. With one in four getting fewer than 10 minutes to themselves a day, the car as sanctuary is doing real emotional work.

Ashley Andrew, President of Hyundai and Genesis UK, said: “Spa in a Car is designed to give people something we know is increasingly hard to find – a moment to themselves. We’re always looking for new ways to showcase the versatility of our vehicles, and Spa in a Car does exactly that – transforming the car into a sanctuary where guests can truly relax.”
