In a refreshing move, beer brand Corona transformed Lima’s chaotic Javier Prado Avenue into a moment of relaxation by broadcasting a live sunset across every single digital billboard on the busy road at rush hour.
Drivers stuck in Lima’s notorious traffic were treated to a rare sight – no ads just a lovely view of one of summer’s final sunsets.
The brand bought up all the digital billboards on the street and live streamed the sunset – with cameras behind each board.
The initiative, created by Leo Perú, aimed to reinforce Corona’s message of disconnecting from routine and embracing the outdoors.
The campaign sparked admiration and conversation about the need for urban spaces that promote well-being.
Beto Noriega, chief creative officer said; “Our goal was to challenge the way advertising interacts with people. In a city where stress and routine dominate, Corona managed to turn a simple drive home into a moment of calm—proving that creativity has the power to change how we experience our surroundings.”
