Organic milk brand Plenish goes “nutty” over the Royal Family with new artworks

With the nuptials of Prince Harry and Meghan fast approaching and a new Prince or Princess due to be born at any moment, the Royal Family are the focus point of the media’s attention now more than ever. Pictures of the family and Meghan in particular seem to be in the newspapers on a daily basis but be prepared to see them as never before, through an unusual new medium… nuts.

Taking a painstaking 362 hours to complete, artist Steve Casio, the “world’s only nut-based artist” has created miniature, hand-painted statues of the immediate members of the Royal Family fashioned out of almonds, cashews, hazelnuts and even coconuts.

The unique scene was commissioned rather fittingly by organic British nut milk brand Plenish and will be going on display during the London Coffee Festival being held at The Old Truman Brewery this weekend.

Mr Casino, said: “When Plenish came to me asking to help them bring their idea to life, I was thrilled, The Royals are loved in the US and I admire the brand’s ethos so it was a super rewarding project to work on, albeit challenging. The Queen and Prince Charles were by far the best characters I’ve made yet!”

Plenish’s founder and CEO, Kara Rosen, said of the project: “We’ve searched long and hard to find someone capable of bringing our idea to life and can now confidently say we’ve met our match when it comes to being nutty about nuts!”
