Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day is back on the Friday 13 December and this year they have enlisted the help of top designers including Burberry, Alexander McQueen and Vivienne Westwood to create unique hand-knitted designs. The charity has linked up with the British Fashion Council and the designers in this great fundraising initiative to auction-off the jumpers. Best of all, the unique designs will go to the lowest unique bidder, so everyone is in with a real chance of winning.

Fashion fans can bid for one of the 14 designs, or all of them, by texting their bid amount and the name of the designer to 78484 (texts cost £1.50). Up for grabs are designs by Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood, Burberry, Anya Hindmarch, David Koma, Paul Smith, Giles Deacon, House of Holland, Jonathan Saunders, Matthew Williamson, Peter Pilotto, Mary Katrantzou and Sibling.  All 14 jumpers will be on display at The Village, Westfield London on 28th November which is also when the bidding lines open.

At a time when people are short on cash and charities are struggling to raise vital funds, this is a great way to generate interest and get people to donate by offering a money-can’t-by prize in return.
