Mitsubishi gives an SUV its own personal raincloud
Mitsubishi has sent an Xforce through Kuala Lumpur with its own raincloud overhead, turning a feature designed for wet roads into an attention-grabbing street stunt.
The car carries an artificial cloud that showers it with water as it travels, bringing some very localised bad weather to the Malaysian capital.
“Some people check the weather forecast… we just bring our own,” says the brand’s accompanying social post.

The Roving Cloud campaign promotes the SUV’s Wet Mode, which Mitsubishi says was developed specifically for Southeast Asia’s heavy rain.

The feature is designed to help drivers maintain stability and control on wet roads.
Mitsubishi is also giving people a reason to look out for the travelling downpour.
A published itinerary lists stops across the Klang Valley, while a competition invites passers-by to photograph the vehicle and share to win prizes.
