VELUX flips plane-spotting obsession into a story of connection
VELUX has launched “Planes”, a new brand film that follows a young girl whose fascination with aircraft becomes a moving story about family, imagination and the sky above her home.
Created by Copenhagen agency Twenty, the film builds on the brand’s “The magic is here. Let it in.” platform, which encourages people to reconnect with the world beyond their ceilings.
At its heart is a simple observation: in a culture often spent looking down, there is still wonder to be found by looking up.
The girl at the centre of the story is captivated by planes passing overhead.
The film reveals her interest is more than a childhood hobby.

Directed by Louise Wachtmeister, “Planes” pairs naturalistic performances with a delicate new version of Joni Mitchell’s “Both Sides Now”, performed by Norwegian artist SKAAR.
The result is a tender piece of brand storytelling about perspective, and the quiet magic of letting the outside in.
