Lip Balm goes metal in e.l.f. and Liquid Death’s twisted sequel

Liquid Death and e.l.f. Beauty have rejoined forces for a second chaotic collaboration – this time swapping corpse paint for Lip Embalm.
The limited-edition lip balm range, which dropped January 14, is inspired by Liquid Death’s most unhinged flavors and packaged in mini tallboy cans, because of course it is.

Building on the viral frenzy of their 2024 “Corpse Paint” collab, this new launch brings back black metal frontman Glothar for a gothic musical spot with an unexpectedly wholesome twist – he’s now a doting dad, warbling ballads about lip care.
The film leans into over-the-top theatrical absurdity, a perfect reflection of both brands’ unapologetically weird creative instincts.
The Lip Embalm flavours – Severed Lime, Rest in Peach, Doctor Death and more are based on Liquid Death’s beverage lineup and filled with e.l.f.’s cruelty-free Squeeze Me balm formula.

“Normalize the bizarre,” said e.l.f.’s CMO Kory Marchisotto, crediting Liquid Death’s Andy Pearson with the mantra that underpins their ongoing collaboration. “We’ve been dreaming together ever since.”
Fans can also enter the madness via e.l.f.’s Roblox world, where a Liquid Death-themed obstacle course leads players through increasingly deadly drink-inspired levels.
