Thai supermarket introduces rain-activated coupons for monsoon season

Supermarket chain Lotus’s has launched a creative campaign designed to make Thailand’s intense rainy season a little more rewarding.

With “Rain Coupons,” the supermarket chain is encouraging shoppers to step out during downpours and pick up a bargain.

Using waterproof spray technology, agency VML stencils large coupons onto the pavement in front of its Go Fresh stores.

These designs remain dry while the surrounding pavement gets wet, revealing clear discount messages when it rains.

Shoppers can snap a photo and redeem the voucher in-store.
