KFC collaborates with Spirit Halloween to create Colonel Sanders costume

KFC has partnered with speciality retailer Spirit Halloween to turn its founder, Colonel Sanders, and his iconic white suit (and facial hair) into an official, limited-edition costume.

Featuring every finger-lickin’ detail, right down to the dapper black necktie, the costume is the perfect Halloween outfit for any fried chicken connoisseur.

This move from KFC is to help celebrate Colonel Sanders actual birthday on the 9th September, which marks 129 years of its legendary figurehead.

‘The Colonel’ created his signature look in the 1950s and apparently would rarely appear in public wearing anything else.

The brand new costume, which is available in both adult and child sizes, includes a white button-front jacket with attached shirt, dress trousers and matching accessories such as facial hair, glasses and a wig.

Andrea Zahumensky, KFC US chief marketing officer commented: “This costume is so official it will have friends and family asking for your secret recipe.”
