Tesco transformed a billboard at King’s Cross Station into a giant pick-your-own flower display, inviting commuters to pull fresh tulips directly from the poster ahead of Mother’s Day.

On Saturday the retailer installed a special-build filled with 5,000 vibrant tulips and the message “Need Anything From Tesco?”.

Positioned in the busy London station from 10am to 5pm, the installation encouraged passersby to take a bouquet straight from the display, turning a traditional billboard into something practical and generous.

Tesco brand ambassadors were on hand to wrap the flowers, helping travellers heading home pick up a thoughtful last-minute gift for the mother figures in their lives.

The activation showcased Tesco Mother’s Day Tulips, available in stores for £5 with a Clubcard, but the focus was on the playful transformation of an everyday media space into a useful experience.

Created by BBH, the idea builds on Tesco’s new brand platform, which reimagines the long-running line “Every Little Helps”.

By turning the familiar phrase “Need anything from Tesco?” into a literal invitation, the campaign brought the platform to life in a simple and generous fashion.
