Billboard urges Labour to “Tax Billionaires” as delegates arrive in Liverpool

Delegates at Labour’s Liverpool conference this week are greeted by a St Anne Street billboard showing a weary Keir Starmer and the message: “Just tax billionaires you absolute numpty.”

It was unveiled by campaign group Everyone Hates Elon to push Labour on fair taxation of the super-rich.

A spokesperson for Everyone Hates Elon said: “Ordinary people are struggling with high bills and low wages, meanwhile in the last decade billionaires have gained enough wealth to end poverty 22 times over. Politicians need to focus on the real enemy causing our problems, not immigrants trying to build a better life. The only way to stop the far right is to improve people’s standard of living. That means taxing the wealth of billionaires, urgently.”
