Zlatan recreates childhood photo for EA Sports cover

EA Sports has unveiled the cover for EA FC 26 Ultimate Edition, featuring Zlatan Ibrahimović in a scene that nods directly to his past.

“You asked for it. Zlatan is back”, is the msg from EA that has gone wild on social media.

The artwork recreates a well-known childhood photo of Zlatan in his bedroom, looking up at a poster of his idol, Ronaldo Nazário.

This time, it’s the adult Zlatan in the same pose, surrounded by new memorabilia marking his own rise from fan to football icon –  badges and kits from his career, including Paris Saint-Germain, Sweden, and Malmo.

The choice feels especially significant given Zlatan’s past criticism of EA during the FIFA 21 cycle, when he publicly questioned the use of his name and image in the game.

With this cover, it seems the two sides have quietly moved on.
