Peroni just launched a beer sorbet

Peroni Nastro Azzurro is taking a chilled detour from the beer aisle with its latest launch: Peroni Italian Beer Ice.

Created with chef Giada De Laurentiis, frozen dessert brand Tipsy Scoop and agency Quality Meats, the limited-edition release is a lemon Italian ice made with Peroni and up to 5% ABV.

The collaboration builds on Peroni’s ongoing partnership with De Laurentiis, which has included exclusive recipes and premium food-focused content over the past year.

“Italian ice has always held a special place in my heart… when you add a Peroni to the mix, I feel like I’m back in Italy,” said De Laurentiis.

The idea is to offer a lighter way to enjoy Peroni on hot days, blending the familiar crispness of the beer with a refreshing frozen format.

To mark the launch, a branded Peroni Italian Beer Ice truck will park at Baby Luc’s Pizzeria in Brooklyn on July 1, giving fans a chance to try it ahead of the holiday weekend. Giada will make an appearance between 5:30 and 7:30 pm.

The campaign continues Peroni’s focus on bringing Italian style and simple pleasures to the U.S. market, something VP of Marketing Courtney Benedict says is central to the brand’s approach: “No one brings the ‘la dolce vita’ spirit to life quite like Giada.”
