Basel just gave its traffic lights a sporty makeover.

As UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 kicks off, Basel is marking the moment by swapping out green men on lights across the city.

The Swiss city has swapped out standard pedestrian icons for animated female footballers mid-kick, giving locals a literal sign that the tournament has landed.
