UV-U-SEE transforms sun safety on construction sites

Creative agency Pablo London has launched UV-U-SEE, a wearable to combat melanoma risk for builders, setting a new standard in health and safety on construction sites
Introducing ‘The Higher-Vis Vest,’ equipped with a UV-sensitive logo that changes colour as UV levels rise, from white to red – an imperative prompt to apply sunscreen. This is not merely a suggestion; it’s a crucial advancement in safeguarding workers.
In collaboration with partners LifeJacket Skin Protection, Leo Workwear, the National Federation of Builders and Considerate Constructors Scheme, Pablo aims to protect construction workers, a sector disproportionately affected by melanoma-related fatalities. Research shows 39% of workers do not recognise melanoma as a workplace hazard and 51% have not been provided with health and safety training that alerted them to the dangers of skin cancer.
This initiative is poised to shift that perception. UV-U-SEE establishes skin safety as an industry standard.
“We believe all men and women deserve to be safe at work. Construction workers have increased melanoma risk because they work outside, often without adequate sun protection. We want to change behaviour to save lives.”
Visit uv-u-see.com starting May 1st to become part of this essential movement, ensuring sun safety is prioritised for all outdoor workers.
