Burger King turned radio static into a reminder of its flame-grilled flavour

That crackly, in-between-stations radio static? Burger King just found a new use for it.
In a campaign called “Flaming Grill Radio,” the brand transformed silent FM frequencies into something a little more flavorful.
Instead of dead air, listeners in Colombia, Argentina, Chile, and Ecuador heard the familiar sound of meat sizzling on a grill.
The idea was to reinforce Burger King’s flame-grilled identity by tapping into an unexpected audio cue one that resembles the brand’s signature cooking method.
It’s a clever twist on the brand’s ongoing strategy to spotlight its flamed grill credentials.
Kudos to Proximity BBDO Colombia, Sancho BBDO and production company Celeste Films.
