Cadbury creates the world’s largest Creme Egg

By on Thursday, April 10, 2025

Standing three feet tall and weighing as much as a newborn horse, chocolate heavyweight Cadbury has revealed the world’s largest Creme Egg.

This egg isn’t just for show, it’s made entirely from real chocolate and filled with gooey fondant.

Built by chocolatiers Terry Collins and Dawn Jenks at Cadbury World, the giant egg took two and a half days to craft by hand.

“We do seasonal creations every year,” says Collins. “But this time, we asked ourselves: what if we went massive?”

The egg is now on display at Cadbury World in Bournville, Birmingham’s chocolate-making zone until 27 April, wrapped in a hand painted shell. No nibbling allowed (we asked).

Because if Easter isn’t about building a giant Creme Egg for the joy of it….. Then what is it about?

Long live the Egg!
