Heineken has launched a bold new campaign, Pub Succession, aiming to preserve a cherished piece of Irish heritage the legendary McLoughlin’s Pub on Achill Island.
Co-created with agencies LePub and Publicis Dublin, the initiative seeks a worthy successor to keep the McLoughlin name above the door for generations to come.
With family-run Irish pubs facing a succession crisis, Heineken is taking its search global, calling on 88 million Irish descendants worldwide to step forward for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
The chosen candidate will receive mentorship, business support, and a chance to reconnect with Ireland through this cultural homecoming.
This campaign is part of Heineken’s broader For the Love of Pubs initiative, which champions the preservation of Ireland’s vibrant pub culture.
More than just a recruitment drive, Pub Succession is a heartfelt call to keep the spirit of community and tradition alive.
