Greggs Gets Bubbly With New Champagne Bar!

High street favourite, Greggs is launching its first Champagne bar which will feature signature cocktails inspired by Greggs’ sweet treats alongside gourmet classic bakes.
The move comes after Greggs launched its “fine dining” bistro last year which served up popular festive bakes alongside traditional holiday favourites such roast potatoes, smoked pancetta and sprouts.
Opening October 24th in Newcastle’s Fenwick’s Food Hall, Greggs fans will be able to pair the finest bottles (also available for purchase) with a menu of bakes and rolls.
This year’s menu, created by Fenwick executive head chef Mark Reid offers tantalising twists on crowd pleasers such as the sausage roll, now elevated with a hot honey and chilli sauce and the steak bake, now served with a creamy peppercorn aioli.
On the sweeter side, treats have been turned into cocktails such as the yum yum twist, a sweet, sugar-glazed cocktail crafted with rum and real yum yums and the cream eclair which features vanilla vodka and dark chocolate liqueur. There are non-alcoholic options too, such as the peach Melba cocktail.
