Bloomingdales launches virtual mall

Bloomingdales recognised the potential in virtual reality and decided to create their own virtual mall just in time for the festive season. This new virtual reality experience is also celebrating Bloomingdale’s 150 year anniversary.

Brands such as Chanel, Nespresso and Ralph Lauren are all taking part in this virtual reality world. Chanel has something out of the world planned as the Chanel outlet is set on the moon, Nespresso’s is set at a Parisian café and Ralph Lauren’s is in a magical holiday forest.

Emperia created the Bloomingdales virtual experience and CEO Olga Dogadkina discussed how “Technology will allow retailers to measure product engagement, demographics, stock demand and layout effectiveness, all in real-time and based on data insights.”
