Heineken’s tequila beer brand Desperados have taken their ‘Release you inner Tequila’ campaign to new depths by holding an underwater party in a 42m deep pool, the first party of its kind. The event, attended by 400 fans, press and influencers featured sets by house music production giant Elrow and DJ Peggy Gou.
Producer Artwork created exclusive track Deep Down for the event. Guests submerged underwater were able to enjoy the song and other sets through their specially designed SeaTrek diving gear enabled with a high definition sound system. Those who didn’t want to dive were able to submerge themselves into the party via tunnels at the base of the pool, where they had a front row view of an underwater laser light show.
Peggy Gou commented, “I’ve been lucky enough to DJ all over the world but playing at the deepest dance floor ever at the world’s deepest pool for Desperados Deep House is an epic first for me.”
Diederik Vos, global brand director of Desperados, said: “Desperados is an expert in curating events that push the boundaries of wild experimentation, innovation and fun. “With ever-evolving party trends, it’s great to be able to show how any place, no matter how unusual, can be turned into a dance floor and to prove that unique experiences have a positive effect on people. With our events we’re giving our fans a new way to party.”
