Danny Dyer turns tube announcer as part of EastEnders 30th anniversary

It is all go this week for the folks at EastEnders, who have pulled out all the stops to celebrate the shows 30th Anniversary. Lucy Beale’s killer will finally be revealed after an epic 10 month whodunnit, as well as a week of completely live episodes and some famous faces returning to the show temporarily.
And that’s not all as far as the celebrations are concerned.. The clever folk at the show have turned notorious geezer Danny Dyer into a tube announcer for the day. With one of the most recognisable voices on TV, commuters passing through Bromley-by-Bow may be in for a treat if Danny’s usual comments are anything to go by.
The station was chosen due to its location within the heart of the East End, as well as the fact that the shows fictional station, Walford East, replaces it on tube maps within the show.
This is just another example of the great multi-channel campaign that EastEnders have put together for this landmark week in the shows history, including a clue as to Lucy’s killer being revealed at the NTA’s a few weeks ago. And since Max Branning accidentally may have let slip who the murderer was in last nights episode, Facebook and Twitter have been going crazy with meme’s and shareable content.
Hats off to the them! I may have to take a trip to Bromley-by-Bow..
