blood swimming pool resident evil revelations pr stuntHaving created a pop-up butchery featuring edible human limbs to promote Resident Evil 6 (more here), Capcom is inviting people aged 16 or over to take a tip in 'the world's only blood-filled swimming pool' in a stunt to promote Resident Evil Revelations (released May 24th).

The pool will be open to the public for two days, Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th May.

Located in Jupiter Wharf, London ('in the shadow of the Olympic Stadium'), the blood-red dyed pool will offer swimmers human torso floats, floating eyes and also feature brains and intestines as lane markers. Zombie lifeguards will be on duty and even offer a diving board in the form of a ‘fres

hly killed human corpse’.

The public will be able to collect commemorative game merchandise (to keep) from the bottom of the pool, which should interest hard core fans of the survival horror series.

The 16ft x 32ft pool is more than a metre deep, containing an estimated 55,000 gallons of water, or, in Resident Evil terms, would have taken the blood of 11,327 individuals to fill. No doubt we'll update with pictures as soon as we have them.

Anyone wishing to swim in the Resident Evil Revelations pool will need to gain their free ticket in advance by visiting: www.residentevil.eventbrite.com. Tickets go live on Monday 20th May at 0900, with only 100 tickets available for each day.
