Man with Netflix tattoo gets year’s free subscription

It’s a stunt we’ve probably all considered for clients from time to time, but here it is, quite literally in the flesh.

One idiot man – TheRealMyron (I, too, am sick of all the fraudulent Myrons) – had the word Netflix tattooed on himself, prompting Netflix to tweet him back and offer him a year’s free subscription to the admittedly brilliant video-streaming service:

As tweeted by the PR I saw this story through, whether it’s a stunt by Netflix or just another example of customers and brands engaging in mutually beneficial attention-seeking ways is irrelevant – it’s certainly gaining attention. Personally, I feel bad for Myron – he’s got the tattoo for life but he only gets a year free? That’s worth just £71.88, at £5.99 a month.
