Virgin Atlantic get arty with ‘Gallery in the Air’

Normally when I fly treat myself to a G&T and some boxer chips but elite passengers flying Virgin Atlantic will be able to buy art on board their next flight to New York.

For the month of February, passengers flying between NYC and London will enjoy paintings by acclaimed street artist Ben Eine. The artworks are on show at JFK, Newark and Heathrow airports in the Virgin Atlantic lounges.

If you spot a piece that takes your fancy you can buy it in their ‘Gallery in the Air’  with prices ranging from $4,000 to $24,000.

The pictures are great, it’s a fun way to sell works of art and it’s getting lots of positive coverage in the US and UK so well done Virgin Atlantic for this one.
