Global Cheese Awards launch ‘Cheese Rap Champion’ competition

By on Wednesday, May 30, 2012

The Global Cheese Awards, part of the Frome Cheese and Agricultural Show, has launched the GCA Cheese Rap Competition.

Entrants are being asked to submit an audio file of themselves rapping about cheese; those who make it through the first round get the chance to perform at a live final at the Frome Show in September. The competition is open to groups and soloists of any age.

The competition is being fronted by Ren Turnock (pictured) who found ‘fame’ last year as one of the Yeo Valley Rapping Farmers.

This is one of my own campaigns, so naturally I think  its great! But I don’t want to bore you with a ton of PR fluff, so I’ll just say that the prize is studio recording as well as a very large quantity of cheese. If that sounds like your thing you can find details to enter on the Global Cheese Awards website.
