KFC teams up with ARIES for a finger lickin’ good fashion drop

Just when you thought KFC couldn’t top its iconic chicken fork, the brand have stepped out of the deep fryer and into the fashion spotlight with the launch of ‘Gravy Drip’- a 10 piece fashion collection fusing fast food and fashion like never before.
The global fried chicken giant has teamed up with the London streetwear label ARIES and creative agency Freuds Group to create a dippy, delicious clothing line featuring distressed leather jackets, trapper hats and bold overside tees – all metaphorically dripping in style and some physically dripping in KFC’s iconic gravy.
This unlikely collaboration taps into the two things Brits hold closest to their hearts: comfort food and self expression.
The campaign boldly pushes aside your typical still-life fruit bowls of grapes and apples, making space for a new- ironic, yet truly desirable centerpiece of a steaming boat load of gravy.
Sofia Prantera, founder of ARIES said “We wanted to create something beautifully executed with a subtle touch of irony”. Mission accomplished. The elegance of striking gold-detailed pieces is perfectly juxtaposed with the gloriously unglamourous reality of the sticky mess that comes with when tucking into a KFC.
The campaign creates a beautifully chaotic balance between ARIES’s proud heritage in the fashion scene and the UK’s equally proud obsession with finger lickin’ good chicken.
Because really, who needs to lay down a napkin when you’re wearing your best clothes – when you could just wear the food itself?
