KitKat unveils life-sized chocolate Formula 1 car at Silverstone
KitKat has revealed a life-sized chocolate racing car at Silverstone to launch its new partnership with Formula 1 and introduce a limited-edition miniature chocolate replica.
Unveiled in the famous pit lane by former racing driver and presenter Billy Monger, the striking sculpture mirrors the scale of a real Formula 1 car and celebrates the sport’s most famous pause point.

Measuring five metres long and weighing 350kg, the creation is the equivalent of more than 16,900 two-finger KitKats.

The car took 1,254 hours to complete under the guidance of master chocolatier Jen Lindsey-Clark. Every element has been carefully crafted, from the aerodynamic front wing to the distinctive rear spoiler, turning a symbol of speed into a playful tribute to taking a break.

Monger revealed the car at the circuit, trading the smell of hot tyres for chocolate as he unwrapped the giant creation.
“I’ve seen some incredible cars at Silverstone, but none as unique as this one,” he said. “Even the best drivers know that you can’t perform without a proper break.”
The stunt signals the arrival of KitKat’s limited-edition chocolate Formula 1 car, available across UK and Ireland supermarkets as the brand gears up for activations around the 2026 racing season.
