Crumbelievable! Lidl turns heads with croissant perfume

Lidl US has unveiled Eau de Croissant, a tongue-in-cheek fragrance inspired by its popular 49-cent bakery item.
Crafted in collaboration with British perfumer Sarah McCartney, known as the “Fairy Godmother of UK Perfumery,” the scent promises notes of buttery warmth without tipping into full-blown pastry.
Housed in a 15ml croissant-shaped amber glass bottle, the limited-edition fragrance adds a playful twist to the grocery chain’s holiday campaign.

Timed to complement Lidl’s holiday meal deal (feeding 12 people for under $4 per head) the fragrance drop is less about scent and more about Lidl’s brand flair.
“We’re proud to introduce our new holiday meal deal to help ensure our customers can create cherished meals without the burden of a hefty price tag,” said Lidl US CEO Joel Rampoldt.
Lidl’s festive ethos: entertain big, spend small and smell like a Parisian bakery while doing it.
