KFC Canada knocks out the Colonel’s teeth in cheeky hockey campaign

By on Wednesday, October 8, 2025

KFC Canada is putting a toothy twist on its brand mascot, giving the Colonel a classic hockey smile in a new campaign from creative agency Courage.

With nothing more than a strip of tape and two missing teeth, the fast-food giant has embedded itself into the heart of Canada’s favourite pastime.

The move is playful  and high-impact—an example of how a subtle visual shift can do heavy cultural lifting.

By aligning the Colonel’s grin with the battle-scarred smiles of hockey players, KFC taps into a national sport’s humour and grit while keeping the Colonel’s charm intact.
