Aldi turns its cult middle aisle into wearable art

By on Saturday, August 9, 2025

Aldi has launched a limited run of Specialbuy-themed temporary tattoos, featuring designs inspired by some of its most popular products — from air fryers and hanging egg chairs to kamado BBQs and the sell-out Pilates machine.

The range is designed to celebrate the cult status of Aldi’s middle aisle, where products often go viral and sell out in days.

The launch taps into the growing temporary tattoo market and follows a trend of brands creating collectible merchandise to connect with fans, with Aldi putting its own twist on the idea by focusing on products that have become customer favourites.

The collection includes designs based on kayaks, garden tool sheds, lawn mowers, paddling pools, Aldimania sliders and stand mixers.

Julie Ashfield, Aldi UK’s chief commercial officer, said: “Our shoppers love our middle aisle — with products often going viral across social media and selling out fast. Now, thanks to our brand-new tattoos, shoppers can show off just how much they love Aldi Specialbuys.”
